About Me
My name is Audrey Vergeldt and I don't currently train anywhere, but I take drop-in classes at different studios. I started dance in second grade where I was fortunate enough to dance at Disney. I completely fell in love with performing. After that, I was only taking one jazz class a week, but I knew I wanted to do more. I decided to start doing competitive dance in fourth grade. I was on teams at Bunker Dance Center up until eighth grade. In eighth grade, I realized I was falling out of love with dance and I wanted more training in order to make it into my dream school, Las Vegas Academy of the Arts(LVA). I felt the best option for me at that moment was moving studios. I then began to train at Dance Dynamics and took on way more hours then I was used to. When I found out that I made it into LVA I was ecstatic. After attending LVA for a year I decided it was not the right path for me. Forcing myself to dance all those hours because I thought it would make me happier just didn't work. I decided to transfer over to Centennial and cut back on my hours. I wanted to join dance fusion so that I could have school involvement, stay active, and hopefully choreograph and perform.
My three goals for this year are; number one, get a clean triple on both sides, number two, make some friends, and number three, have a better relationship with dance. These goals are important to me because I still love performing but the process can be really exhausting. I think that having more friends at dance will make me like it more.
My dream future would be to have a job dancing at Disney. However, I don't really see myself anywhere other than college once I'm eighteen. I am thinking about graduating high school one year early because I am a year ahead in a lot of my subjects. I would love to go to an ivy league college, especially Yale, but we'll see how that works out. Thank you for reading and learning all about me!

This is a solo about the origin of my name. The most difficult part of making it was aligning all the music so that it sounds like it never stops. I learned that dance looks very different on camera and you can see small details even more because you are up close. On stage, you can't see every little technique mistake, but on video you can. I will use this information and focus more on technique and less on storyline next time.
